print has not been offered at auction. Of the few Josset print sales recorded
by Artprice.com, the two following prints have some relevance and warrant the
conclusion that the presale estimate of $300-$500 is reasonable and
justifiable, even though the quality and artistic skill required of Josset to
make the mezzotint that is being offered at auction is much higher than that
manifested in the two following prints and could readily warrant and justify a
higher presale estimate.
