Lined. Surface dirt and debris, and overall craquelure. 2 in. vertical tear to the right of her sleeve, 1/2 in. paint chip loss in the tassel of pillow, 3/4 in. paint chip loss to the background near baby Jesus's raised hand, along with smaller scattered paint losses. Stretcher stress on bottom, right and left sides from previous stretcher, with paint lifting and inpainting. UV: Evidence of inpainting done at various periods of time. Extensive inpainting especially in stretcher stress on right edge, in background under baby Jesus's arm, around his legs, as well as inpainting on faces, bodies and clothing.
