PAIR CONTINENTAL EMBROIDERED ARMORIAL BANNERS. 18th-19th century. The red and gold jacquard banner, with later applied gold embroidered armorial crest, centered with double-headed eagle flanked by towers and flags. Mounted for hanging - 41 in. x 23 in.

PROVENANCE: Estate of Psychic Jeane Dixon, Washington, DC

In overall good condition. Banner without significant wear and pulled threads, the reverse of both does have scattered stains. The crests with losses, fading and pulled threads indicative of age; not entirely sewn down on the banner
