BEADED BROWN SILK AND CHIFFON EVENING DRESS,Circa 1919; Worth Roberts, 12 East 48th St., New York label. Ankle-length brown silk underdress, with heavily black beaded chiffon overdress, and long back panel Estimate $200-300
Lots 1-19 represent the wardrobe of two generations of women from the Kenefick and Graves families who lived in Buffalo, New York at the turn of the century. The majority of the garments were worn by Dorothy Dudley Kenefick, 1900-1973, and Mary Beaty Herod Graves, 1895-1990. They descended through the family of Germain Kenefick Graves and Nelson Montgomery Graves Jr., of present day Buffalo.
In overall fair condition. The material is very fragile and the heavy beading weighs it down creating small tears and holes.
