PRESIDENT NIXON'S GARDEN FURNITURE, 20th century. The nine-piece collection includes: two wire frame chairs and matching side table, one long Art Deco table with three similar matching chairs, and two wire frame settees. - Table: 30 in. x 60 in. x 30 in. Three chairs: 32 1/2 in. x 17 1/2 in. x 15 1/2 in.

This collection is shown in "The Nixons In Their Backyard," Life Magazine, 09-22, 1958, pgs. 43-46, and remained at the Vice Presidential residential home until 2007.


The garden furniture will require re-painting, as some of the iron is exposed in areas. Of this nine-piece suite, Life Magazine shows only the dining table and three chairs in use by the Nixons. We did not find a manufacture''s mark on these.
