Lots 848 through 856 are by Belgian/American artist Alex de Boeck. De Boeck moved to Washington D.C. in 1953, first working the for the Belgian Embassy, then the Dumbarton Oaks Research Center. de Boeck studied at the Corcoran School of Art and the George Washington University and mentored under Pietro Lazzari. He exhibited at Strathmore Hall, the Woman's National Democratic Club and Georgetown Art Gallery and held one-man exhibitions at Mahler Gallery, Holly Ross Gallery and Govinda Gallery.
