TWO RELIC CANES. One with metal knob handle marked "Made from part of the steering gear of Capt. Hamilton's Aeroplane." The other with an inscribed sterling medallion on handle with "relic of Royal George, Sunk at Spithead 1782." Also with a plaque stating: "Presented to Col. Pasley to Capt. Allez & By His Grandaughter to Richard W. Brigstock Esq. M.D., 1913/ Ray- With Love, Gerry and Peggy, 1970." - Lengths are 34 1/2 in. and 36. in. $400-600 First, 34 1/2 in., second, 36. in.

Note: A Captain George W. Hamilton was WWI aviator who received the Distinguished Service Cross and the Croix de Guerre from France. He was killed in June 1922 during a training exercise in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
