NEAR PAIR CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN YEN-YEN VASES. Chenghua four-character underglazed blue mark. Painted with "xi" (double happiness) characters and scrolling foliage decoration. Together with a jar and cover with similar decoration - each: 15 3/4 in. high.

This lot is actually a near pair, with different style Chenghua marks and slightly different craftsmanship in terms of the painting. Both vases have some tiny brownish dots due to firing. The vase on the right (as shown in the catalogue) has restoration, and the left one has a small chip on mouth, and a glazed chip on the character (shown in photos).
