PROVENANCE: Time and Again Auction Gallery on Ebay live offered this painting as lot 883 on September 14, 2008 and catalogued it as "19th c. oil painting on canvas portrait of a woman. PAINTING, Gilt framed as is. Approx. 30.5 in. x 25 in. W. Good condition except for some paint wear in the background area to the left of the figure. Relined. No in-painting on face, skin or hands." The opening bid was $400 and the painting was estimated to bring $800-$1,200.
