GOLF PUTTER USED BY BOBBY JONES, ACCOMPANIED BY GOLF PRINT, Early to mid-20th century. Manufactured by Kroydon, SWB/matched set F1250; hickory shaft. Overall, L: 35 1/2". Accompanied by engraved brass plaque of later date, and Currier & Ives color print from original drawing by J.w. Williamson, c. 1927, "Robert Tyre Jones, Jr. winning the British Open Golf Championship"; sight size, 11 3/4' x 16 1/2". Provenance: by family descent to present owner who maintains that his relative acquired the putter from Augustus Orbach, member of the renowned Boltusrol Golf Club, Springfield, NJ, from the Club Pro, Johnny Ferrell, a long-time friend of Jones and winner of the US Open Championship in 1928 (in which Ferrell beat Jones); documentation of provenance affixed to paper backing reverse of print frame.
