PRIMITIVE COUNTRY PINE CHAIR-TABLE, 19th century. Plank-board tabletop with breadboard ends, opening to chair with square shaped arms, dovetailed seat, and scalloped trestle-form base - Table: 30 in. x 49 in. x 39 in.; Chair: 29 in. x 25 in. x 16 1/2 in.

PROVENANCE: Estate of Benjamin Franklin Kahn, Chevy Chase, MD

The table is composed of old parts, and made well date to a later period when these older elements were joined together. The top has age cracks with the longest measuring 28 inches. The cleats appear new and the base with signs of accelerated antiquing.
