TWO EARLY AMERICAN TURNED CHAIRS, 18th century, New England and Mid-Atlantic. One banister-back and other ladder-back, both with trapezoidal woven seats raised on straight turned legs connected by perimeter stretchers - Banister: 43 in. x 19 1/2 in. x 23 1/2 in.; Other: 41 in. x 26 in. x 16 in.
Estimate $150-175

The ladder-back in good condition: surface originally painted; minor stains to woven seat; lower side stretcher old repair. The banister-back also in good condition: refreshed paint; prior repairs; old worm; rush seat probably replacement; one rocker would benefit from glue.
