GROUP GERMAN SILVER. late 19th century, Hanau pseudo marks, 800 silver standard. Comprising pair diminutive sugar baskets, of typical form, pierced with clear glass liners, stationary handle; parcel silver gilt bowl, oval, centered with repoussé decoration of a bird in a grapevine, petal rim; trinket box, rectangular, the exterior decorated with playful putti, gilt interior; pair miniature devotional two-light sconces, cast as armorial shields, issuing two scrolling arms, urn-form nozzles - 16 oz. 6 dwt.; 5 in. high, sugar baskets.

trinket box: 1 1/4 in. x 6 1/2 in. x 2 1/4 in.
sconces: 4 1/2 in. x 3 in.

Trinket box: the cover does not close entirely.

Brandy bowl: The rim is slightly warped.

Sugar bskets: Each foot rim has small warping along one area; one with a bent handle; one with a loss to the openwork frame; both liners have chips/fleabites along the rim.
