The painting depicts a scene from the Napoleonic Wars centered around Napoleon Bonaparte. He is dressed in his characteristic grey coat and bicorne hat, sits atop a spirited horse and is shown raising a telescope or spyglass to his eye, surveying the field. To the left are several staff officers in colorful uniforms. Unsigned. Framed.
