GUINEAN BAGA SHOULDER NIMBA MASK. Baga shoulder mask, specifically a Nimba mask, is traditionally used by the Baga people of Guinea. These masks, also known as D'mba masks, represent a powerful and beautiful mother figure and are often used in ceremonies such as funerals, harvest festivals, and initiations. The mask is characterized by a large, stylized head with a crested hairstyle, pendulous breasts, and four legs or posts that allow it to be placed on the wearer's shoulders. - Height: 45 inches.
