Text of inaugural address printed in full on front page. Accompanied by pristine archival carte-de-visites of both Lincoln and Vice President Hannibal Hamlin of Maine. Hamlin carte-de-visite bust pose from life of him facing right by Whitehurst Gallery, Washington, DC. carte-de-visite of Lincoln wet plate albumen by Anthony/Brady. Lincoln seated facing left at a table. Taken by Brady in his Washington studio, this was Lincoln's first studio session with Brady on or about February 23, 1861. Lincoln, who was somewhat impatient with the time the lighting was taking to set up, had just looked at his watch in his right hand with the case still open.
