POSTER FOR SILAS GREEN FROM NEW ORLEANS: SNAPPY MUSIC! (CIRCA 1919-30). Poster in red, yellow and black on card stock; minor dampstaining and wear. "Silas Green from New Orleans" was a long-running vaudeville variety show with music, dancing and slapstick humor, with the unusual distinction of being owned, managed by and featuring African Americans. This performance was billed simply for "Kelly's Field," which may have been Kelly Air Force base near San Antonio, TX. 7 April fell on a Monday in 1919, 1924, and 1930. - Unframed. 22 X 14 Inches
