Old labels on reverse bear the myth of Venus and Aesculapius.
Another label states "The Celebrated Collection of Paintings and Drawings - The Late J. P. Heseltine Esq." John Heseltine was an important British collector of his time. His collection was sold at Sotheby's, London March 25, 1920.
