NOTE: George Gelernt was a noted, award-winning commercial photographer whose images appeared in numerous mid-20th century magazines. The Mead Paper Company used "Moonlight Bay' for advertising. "Matador Y Toro" won several exhibition awards. Negatives for both of these images were destroyed in a major Philadelphia fire in 1965, along with Gelernt's photography studio.
