Janet Dunham Saxon graduated from Vassar College with a degree in Art History and then earned a Master''s Degree in Art History from Harvard. After a successful career in law as an Administrative Law Judge, she operated the Dunham Gallery in the Georgetown section of Washington, DC, for the last twenty years. She exhibited the work of many well-known artists, including her own. Saxon was an avid painter throughout her entire life. Her art is usually whimsical in nature. It often features animals, particularly dogs and cats. Her palette and style are very distinctive and somewhat naive.
