RARE CONTINENTAL PEWTER WALL HANGER,18th century. Probably for holding draw strings for drapery. The hanger on its front having cast three-dimensional mermaid with wings on her back, surmounting a cast shell at its base. Mermaid is affixed to elaborately curved rococo decorative cast holder with two flowers affixed thereto that rotate (probably the device around which drapery draw strings were wrapped) - 6 ΒΌ high.
