Sold by the artist to Mr. & Mrs. George C. Warner, Jr. of Bethesda, MD circa 1916. The artist Charles Rosen's daughter Katherine ( "Kay") Rosen Warner was married to George Warner's brother Percy Warner . They lived in Woodstock, New York. In other words, the current owner is the grand neice of the artists daughter. By direct family descent to present owner.
