THOMAS E. BARRATT (American, b. 1814; act. Philadelphia). EBENEZER PETTIGREW, 1845, Signed on left edge and located "Phil". Oil on ivory. Oval portrait miniature. Reverse of panel inscribed in sepia ink, "Painted by T.E. Barratt/136 Chestnut Street/Phil/8 'Gel' 1845/E. Pettigrew/N.C. Depicts gentleman with white hair, in chased gold oval frame with crystal window on reverse revealing lock of Pettigrew's hair.
- Overall with frame, 3 in. x 2 3/8 in.

Curling at side edges but not cracked; some faint scratches around perimeter. Otherwise in excellent condition
