GEORGES ROUAULT (French, 1871-1958). Le Politicard from Le Reincarnations du Pere Ubu, 1929, Etching and aquatint on cream wove paper; signed "GR1929" at base. Dated 1929, but likely published in 1955 in France by Fequet et Baudier (Paris). The print depicts a man with a mustache, characteristic of the figures in the "Père Ubu" series, which are often grotesque or satirical. Some of Rouault's aquatints from this period were produced in limited editions, sometimes around 270-280 impressions. Framed. Not examined out of frame.
