TED SETH JACOBS (American, 1927 - 2019). Three works: "Young Woman," "Sabina," and "River Bank," and "Central Park, NY", Selection of three hand drawings which showcase a variety of subjects and styles. The first drawing is a classical figure study or "cast drawing" , depicting the bust of a statue on a warm, reddish-pink paper, executed primarily in black and white chalk or charcoal. The second piece is an atmospheric landscape sketch, rendered in a monochromatic sepia tone, possibly charcoal or Conte crayon on tinted paper, focusing on the texture of the trees and the reflective quality of the water, characterized by light, rapid strokes for the foliage and sky. The final work is a framed nude figure study , drawn on a warm, tan paper with an active, expressive line, incorporating both black drawing media for contour and darker shadows. All are framed individually. None were examined out of frame.
