CHINESE ROCK CRYSTAL BASKETWEAVE SNUFF BOTTLE, Qing dynasty, 19th century, possibly Imperial. Flattened ovoid form overall with basketweave diaper of long vertical lobed lengths tapering toward concave oval foot rim within two rope bands, very well hollowed.
Estimate $850-950

PROVENANCE: Acquired in Cologne, Lempertz Köln, in the early 1990's. For a similar snuff bottle in green jade see Sotheby's, New York, March 31-April 1, 2005, lot 396 and March 31st, 2004, lot 86.

Hairline (1 inch) to mouth, silver molded edge top with dents and loss.
