GEORGE III TALL-CASE CLOCK. 18th century, face signed James Wrapson, Chichester. Bonnet-shaped pediment with dentil and cavetto molding; arched glazed door flanked by fluted columns and parcel-gilded corinthian capitals and brass pediments; the face has aperture reading "Tempus Fuigit" [sic] above Roman numerals and applied brass spandrels; arched door opening to weights; on rectangular base with ogee bracket feet. - 82 1/2 in. x 18 3/4 in. x 7 in.
Estimate $3,500-4,500

Examination of the case found age cracks (proper right: hood and case), (proper left: hood and case), and (center: case above door). Further there is a minor loss of dentil molding on the cornice. The tall case clock has been refinished. Missing key. We would recommend seeking advice of conservator to determine whether clock is in running condition.
