HECTOR WHISTLER (American, 20th century). BARBADOS, signed and dated 1960 lower right, also inscribed on reverse. Watercolor on paper - Framed, sight: 14 in. x 20 in. Estimate $250-350
In apparently good condition (examined under glass). Paper is slightly rippled. Two areas of possible staining in sky: one above house at left, and one in the center of the sky, with a few small dots of foxing. (This could also be original pigment -- difficult to tell). There are a few other minor dots of foxing in the sky, and tack holes in upper left and lower left corners.
