PAIR GEORGE III SILVER SALTS BY HESTER BATEMAN, London, 1787 and 1789. Boat-form; gilt interior, reeded edge; chased 'WEM' monogram. Each with George III armorial spoon; WC maker's mark, other marks rubbed - 4 oz., 2 dwt., boats; .4 dwt., spoons; 2 1/2 in. x 4 1/8 in., boats.

Marks crisp and legible. One salt with tiny dent and three tiny pit marks. One salt with tiny pit marks surrounding the monogram and interior. Both with rubbed gilding on the interior. No splits or repairs. The marks on the spoons are rubbed, the bowls are slightly warped and have rubbed gilding.
