NOTE: For similar shaped teapots see David S. Howard, "The Choice of a Private Trader". ill. p. 143, pl. 150 : "The name "Cadogan" was given to such pots in the early 19th century, when the Earl of Cadogan promoted their use as teapots and, at his instigation, the shape was made by the Rockingham factory".

Generally good condition. The mouth rim of the spout is unglazed at the tip, thus it might have been ground to eliminate a chip.
