PAIR ITALIAN ROCOCO CARVED, PALE GREEN PAINTED AND PARCEL GILT-DECORATED FAUTEUILS, 18th century. Shaped rectangular back panels with domed crest carved with gilt scrolling leaves, swag and medallions; molded arms with scrolling leaf-carved handholds; flaring seat with serpentine front outline; carved apron; cabriole legs with carved knees end in scrolling feet raised on pegs; pale grey-blue painted frames with gilt highlights; designer upholstery in the 18th century taste. - 46 3/4 in. x 27 3/4 in. x 20 14 in.

Good condition with flaking paint, losses to gilt throughout and worm holes. Good/Fair condition with scattered light paint losses mostly on crest rail, arms, and feet. one chair has old repair to back side rail near arm and other has old vertical scar on back seat rail. both with old light /moderate wood worm damage throughout.
