Samuel Prout (1783 – 1852) was one of the masters of British watercolor architectural painting. Prout secured the position of 'Painter in Watercolors in Ordinary' to King George IV in 1829 and afterwards to Queen Victoria.
Consisting of four smaller handcolored engravings entitled: The Rialto, Venice; Mocenigo Palace, Venice; Barbarigo and Pisani Palace, Venice and The Piazzetta, Venice; all 8" x 7". The larger entitled The City of Venice; 21" x 27". - Framed dimensions: 14 1/4" high x 17" wide & 28 1/4" high x 34 1/2" wide. Estimate $800-1,000
