Provenance: By direct family descent to the present owner. The painting was given to the owner's grandfather, Dalton Auer Griffith of New York, New York in July of 1925 as a wedding present from his five ushers. The groom was a great outdoorsman.


Surface dirt and debris. Two small lines of green overpaint right side of painting in sky.

Scattered small areas of possible inpainting; right side in sky, left knee of front figure and two dots along right edge in water.
