ANTIQUE FRENCH GILT METAL GARNITURE SET, CLOCK WITH CANDLELABRA, Late 19th Century. Works marked Made in France & an illegible medallion. Consisting of a gilt metal clock surmounted by porcelain and gilt metal urn; Porcelain dial having polychrome pastoral scene, centered by two polychrome painted columns; over a painted porcelain panel depicting a courting scene. With two gilt metal candlelabra, three arms centering a single candleholder supported by a polychrome porcelain urn raised on base with porcelain pastoral scenes. Bases having swags, wreaths and arrow sheath motif. - Clock: 16 1/8" high x 9" wide x 5 1/2" deep. Candlelabra: 16" high.

Clock chimes when hands are advanced, but does not appear to run consistently. In need of adjustment. Pendulum is present. Key is present. One of the arms to the candlelabra has a split. Wear to the gilt to all pieces. The bobeche for the candlelabra are drilled to accept crystals, but none are present with this set.
