PABLO PICASSO (Spanish). Pour Roby, Etching by Pablo Picasso, created around 1950 (but likely printed in 1969), depicts a minimalist portrait outlined with thin lines. The artwork is signed "Picasso" and titled "Pour Roby" in reverse on the plate. This was done so that when printed, the signature and title would appear correctly. Picasso created the original copper plate as a gift for his friend Robert J. In 1950, the printer Monsieur Leblanc printed the first edition of 100 copies for Picasso, who then gifted the plate to Leblanc in appreciation. Later editions were produced, including one by the Collector's Guild in 1969. Framed. Not examined out of frame. - Sight: 9.5 x 7.25 inches; frame: 15 x 12 inches Estimate $120-180
