SIGNED CLAUDINE HALOO NATIVE AMERICAN ZUNI PUEBLO POTTERY, 1989. Native American Zuni pueblo Pottery featuring the sacred Heartline Deer motif signed Zuni artist CLAUDINE HALOO and dated 1989. The use of a white/cream background with bold geometric designs in dark brown/black and a terracotta orange/red is a signature style of the Pueblo people, especially Zuni. The most prominent feature is the stylized deer figure centered in the white circle. The red line running from the deer's mouth to its heart is called the Heartline (or Deer Heart).

ARTIST PROFILE: CLAUDINE HALOO is an artist, originally from Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico, known for sculpture and pottery. She studied at UNM-Gallup and is a self-employed artist whose work includes polychrome pots with designs like heartline deer and flowers.
