MINNA WALKER SMITH (American, Connecticut, 1883-1960). Lady Wearing a Red Dress with Floral Embroidery, Watercolor. Signed lower left hand corner. Artwork is a portrait of a woman depicted from the chest up, seated, with her hands clasped in her lap. She is wearing a red dress with floral embroidery on the sleeves and blue earrings. Her gaze is directed slightly upwards and to the left. The background is a soft, muted blend of colors, typical of watercolor techniques. Smith was a member of the American Watercolor Society (AWS). Framed. Not examined out of frame. - Sight: 23 x 19 inches; frame: 35 x 29 inches
