PAIR EARLY 18TH CENTURY CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE PORCELAIN VASES WITH LOUIS XV ORMOLU MOUNTS, CIRCA 1745. Kangxi Period (1662-1722). Flattened, slightly ribbed baluster bodies painted with vases, domestic utensils and writing equipment on mottled black and white ground. Ormolu collars chased with leaf-tip decoration and naturalistic foliate handles. Each on ormolu base of chased acanthus rockwork scrolls.
Accompanied by original purchase receipt and detailed provenance information. - H: 12 1/2 in.

PROVENANCE:
Margaret, Baroness Keith and Nairn (1788-1867) and her husband, Auguste-Charles-Joseph, Comte de Flahaut de la Billarderie and then descent to their eldest daughter Emily Jane Mercer Elphinstone de Flahaut (1819-1895), who married Henry Thomas Petty-Fitzmaurice, the 4th Marquess of Lansdowne in 1843.
