AMERICAN SCHOOL 20th century Eclipse Over the Forest, 2000 Oil on canvas Indecipherable signature lower left; verso signed and dated. A solar eclipse glows eerily through swirling layers of dusty rose and grey clouds above a dark treeline of conifers. The moody, expressionistic brushwork creates a sense of atmospheric tension and awe, as if the world is holding its breath in the shadow of the darkened sun. Framed. (Approx) 30 x 18 inches (excluding frame) $180-270
