AMERICAN MAHOGANY BOW-FRONT FOUR-DRAWER CHEST, early 19th century, New England, probably North Shore or Boston. Rectangular top, with geometrically inlaid bowed front edge; over four graduated, cock-beaded bowed drawers fitted with original brass pulls and keyhole escutcheons; on French splayed bracket feet. - 38 in. H. x 42 1/2 in. x 23.

Top with lighter moister stains in front right corner area; loss to edge above top escutcheon; scattered light surface abrasions; age cracking of veneered drawer fronts; age crack on left side of case; left front foot with seam separation, and partial loss to rear left foot.
