wax-lined, with conservator's note pasted on backing board "lined with wax-resin on fiberglass and polyester fabrics, cleaned and varnished with soluvar varnish, July - August 1983" Canvas slightly rippled at center right, allover fine craquelure with some pigment separation along white fence extending horizontally across horizon; light stretcher stress; UV: inpainting in upper left corner, smaller area at center left edge, 3 inch area at top right, area in horse's front shoulder; and a few other small scattered areas.
