VIRGINIA WALNUT CORNER CUPBOARD. Early-to-mid 19th century, in one piece. Projecting cornice with cavetto molding above four doors, opening to three shaped shelves in the upper section and one straight shelf in the lower; on straight bracket feet. - 81 1/2 in. x 48 in. x 23 in.
Estimate $2,000-3,000

The corner cabinet is in very good condition. Examination of the upper section found that the hardware is replaced. This includes hinges, turned-wood knob, and locks. The interior of the proper left door is reinforced with a horizontal support. On this same door lies a vertical crack (7 in.). The interior of the upper section shows areas of losses to the stain and finish. The lower section has replaced hardware. On the interior of the proper left door, a metallic fragment is deeply embedded, but this has neither impacted the surrounding panel nor is it visible from exterior. The lower section was once fitted with a base that is now missing.

Sold for $1,000
