A restoration of the piece was seen on the structural interior, which has been rebuilt in recent years with new boards forming the drawer supports and back boards. The bottoms of each of the two drawers have been patched. The hardware has been replaced. There is intermittent worm damage on the back of the case as well as to the front apron. The surface has been refinished, and the legs are possibly replacements of the originals. The surface top shows a crack, as does the proper left side.
