JAPANESE HALBERD (NAGINATA), Shinto sword period (17th century). Blade: Temperis not visible, openings on well used blade. Nakago (tang): uncut (ubu) and unsigned (mumei). Top section of pole (14 in/ 30 1/2 cm) is inlaid with chips of mother of pearl. - Blade: 14 3/4 in/ 37 1/2cm, Nakago (tang): 13 5/8 in/ 34 7/10 cm, Pole:72 1/2 in/ 31 3/5 cm.
