CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN PLATE,Yongzheng period. Finely painted with flowering lotus, crane, butterfly and mandarin duck - 8 1/2 in. diam. Estimate $400-600
PROVENANCE: The Louise Werlin Collection, Maryland
There is a hairline which might have been sprayed from the back to be consolidated on the border at the lower left where the white bud is going through the cavetto, but not very visible. Minute chip on the rim, another chip at the back of the plate. Some losses of enamel on the lower left peony head and foliage. Very nice painting.
