AMERICAN SHERATON MAHOGANY AND TIGER MAPLE BOOKCASE DESK, early 19th century, in two parts. Upper section of high country styling with simple scrolling broken-arch pediment centering plain flat block; above cove-molded frieze; two glazed doors divided into seven individual triangular and lozenge-shaped panels by molded mullions; colorless sandwich glass knob pulls; reeded round legs with ring-turned capitals; peg feet - 86 in. x 30 in. x 20 in.

Fair condition with some scattered areas in need of TLC. Crown left corner to be reglued; cove molding of left corner to be reglued; lower box-form case top to be reglued and must have restoration to surface age crack. Scattered old restorations to veneers (front bottom right edge and left side of flip-down writing surface); felt-lines desk surface panels need hinge restoration and felt restoration.
