GEORGE III SILVER ARMORIAL SOUP TUREEN AND COVER, WB (probably for William Bennett), London, 1808. Oval, on pedestal foot; with reeded borders; elongated handles; chased armorial on the body and conforming cover - 66 oz., 8 dwt.; 10 3/4 in. high x 16 1/2 in. total length.

PROVENANCE: The Brass Lion Ltd., Bethesda, Md, 1987

In overall good condition. Each side does have a small dent around the armorial crest. The underside of the foot with scratches. The cover has a small warp along one area of the rim; the cover does not sit flush against the tureen.
