SET EIGHT LITHOGRAPHS DEPICTING AMERICAN LANDSCAPES. FROM AMERIQUE SEPTENTRIONALE, AFTER JACQUES MILBERT, (1766-1840), Sheet size 13" x 17 1/2". From Amerique Septentrionale, Paris, after Jacques Milbert. Milbert arrived in the United States, with the backing of the Museum of Natural History in Paris, with instructions to explore, record and collect information about the topography, social history, and flora and fauna of the northeast of the country. The task took seven years, and resulted in the publication of images which serve as accurate depictions of the country at the time.
