MEXICAN FOLK ART MOUNTED BARRO BRUNIDO JALISCO TILES. Collection of 24 Mexican folk art tiles, likely from Jalisco, each depicting different animals and plants in a distinct style. These tiles are characterized by their earthy tones, black backgrounds, and the use of red and white for detailing. The designs are reminiscent of traditional Mexican folk art, showcasing animals like deer, birds, and possibly jaguars, alongside floral and plant motifs such as cacti. The tiles are arranged in a grid pattern. The style of painting is somewhat naive and charming, typical of folk art, with bold outlines and flat colors. The tiles are set against a neutral-colored fabric, which highlights their individual designs and the overall composition. Signed "Asun. Galvan." Mounted on a board or base. - Each tile: 4 x 4 inches; base / base: 27 x 18.5 inches.
