Handwritten label on reverse states: "This drawing comes from the sale of Mr. Alfred Darin's collection at Chalons Sur-Marne. It is the portrait of Mme Countess of Dillon, Dame of Marie Antoinette. Mr. Darin possessed a large amount of souvenirs that belonged to the Royal family, and by descent from his mother Mlle. Zélic children of the famous Edine Bonaventure Coutois." Sold for $472
